Work Strategies

Throughout the project, teachers will be responsible for presenting the information, facilitating the teaching of concepts and the development of scientific skills, as well as guiding the students to carry out all the specific activities of each stage, including:

  • Team organization. The class should be divided into teams of approximately 5 members. All project activities are designed to be done in small groups. However, the start and end tests will be answered individually.
  • Use and application of information and communication tools: creation, collaboration and publication. Students will create a blog by team in which they will document the entire research process. Students will be responsible for designing and publishing text and multimedia that describe the process of their research results. Students will also document their case study on the blog using text, graphics and sound.
  • Carry out a case study. The teams of students will carry out a case study on a particular problem of their environment. The objective of this study is to provide students with the acquisition of scientific research skills described in the project purposes to develop a specific environmental restoration campaign in their locality.
  • Discussion forums. The forums will be a resource for the exchange of information and comments within the project. It is important to bear in mind that the forums are pre-monitored, so only well-written, relevant and dissemination dialog messages will be approved. In the forums the interaction between international students will take place; They will have the opportunity to interact and share their research experiences through written messages in Spanish and English.   • Dissemination of results. Students will use various technological tools in different digital formats to develop brochures, flyers, posters, photo exhibitions, reports, audio capsules and / or video clips to share their analysis, reflections and knowledge gained from the project. Likewise, they will disseminate the results to their school community as well as carry out actions that contribute to the mitigation of environmental degradation in their communities that will be published in the Facebook profile of the project.
